Belleek Pottery
was founded by John Caldwell Bloomfield in 1857. He inherited the Caldwell estate which encompassed the village of Belleek from his father. To his delight he found that the land was rich in the raw materials to make pottery. This was to provide much needed work in the area following the aftermath of the potatoe famine. The skills and techniques of making this highly collectable translucent parian china have been passed down from generation to generation. Each piece is hand made and hand painted which means no two pieces are ever alike. Only the highest quality Belleek is presented for sale. The wonder and magic that is Belleek can only be described as perfection.
